“Go from the presence of a foolish man, when you do not perceive in him the lips of knowledge…Fools mock at sin, but among the upright there is favor” (Proverbs 14:7, 9).
As Joseph demonstrated with Potiphar’s wife (Gen. 39:12), some situations are so spiritually dangerous the only wise course of action is to flee the scene. Being in the presence of a fool is one of these situations.
Because a fool mocks at sin (Prov. 14:9) and abominates departing from evil (Prov. 13:19), he is an extremely dangerous man. A companion of such a person will be destroyed along with him (Prov. 13:20).
Every one of these noteworthy traits of a fool is spiritually toxic:
- A fool hates knowledge (Prov. 1:22).
- A fool despises wisdom and instruction (Prov. 1:7).
- A fool’s heart is filled with foolishness (Prov. 12:23) and His mouth pours forth foolishness (Prov. 15:2).
- A fool will die for lack of wisdom (Prov. 10:21).
- A fool leaves a legacy of shame (Prov. 3:35).
Being alert for this spiritually leprous person is essential. Therefore, when you perceive that someone does not have lips of knowledge. It is time to go.
Forget your coat. Leave immediately.
A good idea to not listen to politics – especially the liars.
