“My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality” (James 2:1).
Even though Jesus’ enemies were seeking to entangle Him in a no-win situation, the truth was stated when they said, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men” (Matthew 22:16).
There is no partiality with God (Romans 2:11). He shows no favoritism (Acts 10:34). Therefore, if you are seeking to imitate God (Ephesians 5:1) and practice pure and undefiled religion (James 1:27), you must rid your life of partiality toward others because of their wealth, social standing, popularity, nationality, race, etc.
Because the Lord of glory accepts Jews and Gentiles, slaves and freed, males and females without any partiality (Galatians 3:28), it is imperative His disciples pay no attention to the externals which the world mistakenly believes to be so important.
The practice of Christ’s pure and undefiled religion eliminates pandering, favoritism, partiality, and prejudice.
