Jesus Loves Me, This I Know–Part Four

“that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge” (Ephesians 3:17-19).

Jesus loves me, this I know because His inheritance tells me of the length of His love. According to God’s abundant mercy, those who have been begotten again have a living hope of eternal life with an inheritance which is incorruptible, undefiled, and does not fade away. It is reserved in heaven for you (Titus 1:2; 1 Peter 1:3-4).

The riches of Christ’s grace and mercy provide an eternal treasure in heaven. Moth, rust, and thieves cannot diminish it in any way (Matthew 6:20). This hope is both sure and steadfast; it anchors the soul to the throne of heaven (Hebrews 6:19). The eternal blessings and bliss of heaven are limitless. Their length is endless.

Oh, the length of Jesus’ love.
