Proof of Purchase

A receipt is proof a legal transaction has occurred. In the case of a commercial transaction, a receipt demonstrates that a buyer and a seller have voluntarily exchanged possessions.

In redeeming humanity out of the slavery of sin, God gives a receipt of sonship, a proof of purchase. Every child of His is “sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise” (Ephesians 1:13). To divine satisfaction, this demonstrates this one belongs to Him.

The sealed are God’s sons. They are Christ’s betrothed bride. They are a temple of the Holy Spirit.

God’s redeemed lawfully belong to Him.

He can prove it. His sons have the receipt.
