The God of the Hearing Ear and the Seeing Eye

“The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the Lord has made them both” (Proverbs 20:12).

If you were assigned the daunting task of trying to best put the spiritual Being Jehovah into a material manifestation, the best icon you could come up with would be a human being. You would want this creation in God’s image to have three essential components (i.e., body, soul, and spirit) to reflect the three essential persons of the Godhead (i.e., Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). You would have to be sure this creation had a mind with which to think and plan, a will with which to purpose and live by, a heart which could love and be broken, and a spirit which could rejoice and be grieved.

And human beings would need ears to hear and eyes to see because is omniscience. He is all-knowing; therefore, He hears and sees everything.

Even with all of its incredible advances in information, modern science has not explored all the depths and mysteries of the hearing ear or the seeing eye. The reason for this is as obvious as it is simple: The Lord has made them both.
