“Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct” (Hebrews 13:7)
The law of sowing and reaping has governed God’s physical world since the third day of time (Genesis 1:11-13). It reflects a timeless spiritual principle: You reap what you sow.
Every life lived on this earth has an outcome. There is an eternal, irreversible result. The final outcome of a godly life is everlasting life. The final outcome of an ungodly life is eternal ruin.
Examples of how to live unwisely in this life abound. Finding a role model for how to live wisely is far more challenging. Therefore, the value of having godly spiritual teachers, mentors, and leaders is inestimable.
Carefully investigating their lives and imitating those whose lives are godly cannot be pressed too vigorously, especially when you consider the eternal, irreversible outcome of your conduct.
