Jesus Loves Me, This I Know–Part Two

“that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge” (Ephesians 3:17-19).

Jesus loves me, this I know because His crucifixion tells me of the width of His love. “And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:8).

With His arms outspread as wide as possible, Jesus died voluntarily, viciously, and vicariously. He died for all—every creature in every nation. He died for every human’s sins—from Adam and Eve until the end of human history. No wider scope is possible.

Oh, the width of Jesus’ love!
