“Diverse weights and diverse measures, they are both alike, an abomination to the Lord” (Proverbs 20:10).
It is a sad, yet accurate, truth that if it wasn’t for double standards, some people who have no standards at all.
Unlike postmodernism where truth is whatever I believe it to be today and there is no requirement of any consistent application to all, Jehovah abominates dishonesty and such moral hypocrisy and inconsistency.
Vice does not become virtue and virtue does not become vice based upon who does it. Though it was challenging for even the apostle Peter to embrace this truth, he did finally get it right: “God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him” (Acts 10:34-35).
Not only does the God of heaven not have double standards, He abominates all who do.
