“The silver-haired head is a crown of glory, if it is found in the way of righteousness” (Proverbs 16:31).
Not everyone born in this century is still alive today. Therefore, having good health which enables you to die of old age with a silver-haired head is a blessing.
Deciding to live your life on the Highway of Holiness (Is. 35:8) and reaching its destination of eternal life is an even greater blessing.
Living and dying like Abraham—“in a good old age, an old man and full of years” (Gen. 25:8) who lived by faith and desired a better, heavenly country (Heb. 11:16)—is a life well lived.
All who are in Christ are Abraham’s children (Gal. 3:28-29). He is the father of the faithful (Rom. 4:12). Abraham’s legacy is of a life well lived.
Will that be your legacy?
