“Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him” (James 1:12).
This verse succinctly summarizes the significant spiritual value of life’s various trials. There are no shortcuts to the blessing of endurance, nor are there any sufficient substitutes for it.
Life at its very best comes when you have stood up under the strain and challenges of life’s trials and been purified by their flames. When you have done that, you will be crowned with eternal life by the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Joy in the midst of life’s inevitable trials and a crown of life when they have performed their purifying and persevering purposes are the enduring blessings of endurance.
God is good.
