Confession

if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10).

Stating or merely repeating a fact does not necessarily constitute confession.

Genuine confession which will result in salvation must come from a heart which believes the gospel of Christ. The unequivocal truth that Jesus is the Christ, declared to be the Son of God with power by His empty tomb must be the unshakable conviction and burning passion of your heart which becomes its most compelling force.

This great confession of the heart is essential to your salvation. No one can make it for you. No statement of it which lacks sincere, heartfelt faith can be substituted for it.

Every tongue ought to confess this truth (Philippians 2:11); has yours?
