” And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:28-32).
A fundamental aim of political correctness is the elimination of every vestige of Bible terminology and righteous principle from all human communication. It is an ever-present reminder that God does in fact give those who have degenerated in their spiritual uncleanness into vile passions and then into a debased mind. Forbidding the use of such words as “sin”, “obedience”, “reverence”, and even “male” and “female” arises from a mindset which is fully anti-God and His word.
In addition to insisting on politically correct speech, a debased mind also condones and promotes everything God condemns and prohibits—i.e., every manifestation of unrighteousness and ungodliness. A debased mind promotes and approves of every form of spiritual lawlessness. It does not tire of calling “evil” what God says is good or calling “good” what God declares to be evil.
What a black hole of spiritual degeneracy a debased mind is!
