Because of the narrowness of truth and righteousness, every one of life’s travelers ought to “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15).
With so much at stake with your choice of life’s two gates and two paths, only a spiritual fool would not suspect that Satan would try to mislead you and all your fellow travelers.
Such pretentious wolves in sheep’s clothing have a far greater hunger and thirst for adulation than for righteousness. Like Balaam of old, being popular, praised, and paid well—the wages of unrighteousness—are most valuable to them.
Jesus is the faithful witness (Revelation 1:5).
False teachers wearing sheepskin are not.
I am amazed that we humans can value the wages of unrighteousness over being righteous!
