There is much truth packed into the slogan “Attitude determines altitude.” Your enjoyment of a job, a situation, or a relationship will largely be determined by your mindset toward it. This fact is not just applicable to earthly matters; it is pre-eminently accurate in the spiritual realm.
Your attitude toward God’s word and the abundance of wisdom it contains will determine whether your eternal abode is heaven or hell. If you despise God’s word, scoff at His loving counsel which will guide you safely through life and into heaven (Acts 20:32), you will be eternally doomed to outer darkness in the lake of fire and brimstone. If, on the other hand, you cherish His truth, embrace His living word and joyously obey His commandments, you will be eternally rewarded in the unassailable city in which there is no night, death, sorrow, or pain.
Your attitude toward God’s word will determine whether you are destroyed in hell or rewarded in heaven.
