You Are What You Seek

“He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, but trouble will come to him who seeks evil” (Proverbs 11:27).

In the world of health, the maxim is: “You are what you eat.” In the spiritual world, the truth is: “You are what you seek.”

If you hunger and thirst for righteousness (Mat. 5:6), seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Mat. 6:33), you will find and enjoy God’s favor. Your character and integrity will be admired and appreciated by likeminded people.

If you seek the base and wicked things of life, Satan will make sure you find them. Once their passing pleasures have departed, their permanent stain of grief and trouble will stay and haunt you unmercifully. When you go looking for spiritual trouble, you will find it and ever regret it.

          You are what you seek.
