Just Men Made Perfect

“…the spirits of just men made perfect” (Hebrews 12:23).

God’s perfect plan of human redemption addresses a person’s past, present, and future. His remedy for the guilt of past sin is called justification. His solution to my shortcomings and weaknesses of the present is termed sanctification. The third component–the one described here in Hebrews 12:23 as being “made perfect”–is glorification.

When the blood of Christ has fully exercised its cleansing power. All your guilt, stains, and blemishes of sin will be gone. Having died as a justified and sanctified child of God you will await glorification (I.e., perfection). Your resurrected body will be transformed into conformity with Christ’s glorious body (Philippians 3:21).

“Just men made perfect” is a concise descriptor of God’s comprehensive plan.
