“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).
The Bible does not begin by proving God’s existence but by declaring it. Yet, by the time Jehovah had completed the creation week, He had embedded in nature sufficient proof of His existence.
The ironclad scientific law of cause and effect demands the existence of a sufficient and superior cause to produce our vast, unmeasurable universe. The only rational explanation to this stupendous effect is: God is.
The intricate design and complexity found in our universe can only be rationally explained by acknowledging an amazing designer. Therefore, God is.
The moral sense of right and wrong, plus the sense of duty (or “oughtness”) can only be rationally explained by a moral lawgiver who created it in us. Therefore, God is.
From history, there are infallible proofs as well. The existence of the Bible—a single volume comprised of 66 different books with roughly 40 human penmen who wrote over 1,500 years of time—is one. Its perfect unity of theology and morality, with its countless examples of fulfilled predictive prophecies can only be explained by one compelling conclusion: God is.
Jesus of Nazareth is the final and pre-eminent proof. When all the evidence is amassed and considered carefully, the clear and correct conclusion is that He is the Christ, the Son of the living God. And therefore: God is.
Only the fool says there is no God (Psalm 14:1).
