“By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, ‘and was not found, because God had taken him’; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:5-6).
Three hundred years (or 109,575 days).
Enoch walked with God 300 years (Genesis 5:22), about 3,844 lunar months of consistent faithfulness to God.
Daily living in step with God and His will is the epic challenge of life. Enoch’s life was definitely epic.
Foreshadowing what will happen to the righteous living on earth at Jesus’ final appearing (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17), Enoch did not experience death. Like Elijah (2 Kings 2:11), Enoch was taken away. His loved ones had no body to bury, just his epic faith to remember.
His legacy includes his belief that God is and his daily walk with the God who is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
