“Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began…” (Romans 16:25).
God’s powerful ability is beyond the capacity of any human’s imagination; He “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20).
The mighty God we serve is able to:
-
Destroy the soul and body of the wicked in Gehenna (Matthew 10:28).
-
Make each of His conscientious servant’s stand, acceptable to Him in judgment (Romans 14:4).
-
Subdue all things to Himself (Philippians 3:21).
-
Keep what has been committed to Him (2 Timothy 1:12) by keeping the saved from stumbling and presenting them faultless in His holy and glorious presence (Jude 24).
-
Aid those who are tempted (Hebrews 2:18).
-
Save to the uttermost those who come to Him through Christ (Hebrews 7:25).
-
Establish the saved through the gospel (Romans 16:25) so that they are steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).
No sweeter or superior blessing of love and goodwill can be bestowed on any child of God than to be commended to God and to the word of His grace (Acts 20:32).
