“The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, but the heart of the fool does not do so…A fool has no delight in understanding, but in expressing his own heart” (Proverbs 15:7, 18:2).
A significant characteristic of genuine wisdom is cultivating the ability to communicate knowledge and wisdom to others effectively. Having a vast storehouse of knowledge without the discerning ability to distribute it widely and efficiently is a colossal waste. Wise teachers know more than their lesson; they know their students and the most effective ways to transmit what they know to them.
A fool’s focus is only on spouting off. His concern is not increasing another’s storehouse of knowledge. It is about things far more trivial.
Genuine learning does not automatically occur when a teacher is talking. Genuine learning occurs when a student is learning. A wise person knows this. A fool doesn’t care.
