“not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:25).
Sin with its power to enslave has produced a number of nasty habits. None is more foul than the one described above.
Someone who has been blessed with every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3) and cleansed by the blood of God’s Lamb and privileged with access to enter heaven’s Holy of Holies because Jesus is High Priest ought never turn his back upon the weekly assembling of the church. To do so is to make an obscene choice.
To repeatedly make this obscene choice until it is a lifestyle is to embrace the nastiest of all sinful habits.
This nasty habit has a certain, fearful outcome if it is continued in (Hebrews 10:27).
What a nasty habit.
