“‘This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds, I will write them,’ then He adds, ‘Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more’” (Hebrews 10:16-17).
“Their lawless deeds I will never again remember” is a literal translation of the end of verse 17. Because of the use of a double negative (ou me), the promise made by God could not be more categorical or emphatic.
If only one difference between the old and new covenants could be chosen to demonstrate the vast superiority of the new, this fact would be a great choice.
NEVER AGAIN will your lawless deeds be remembered against you.
NEVER AGAIN does the guilt of your past sins have to haunt you.
NEVER AGAIN will another Lamb of God be necessary (Hebrews 10:18).
NEVER AGAIN.
