“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
Unlike Allah and all the other false gods who shackle their followers with crushing burdens while they callously watch with folded arms, “The Lord is my helper” (Hebrews 13:6).
Jehovah’s offer to help which is found in this verse is not given to an elite, select few of His children. His timeless, unchanging offer to is to every one of them. There are no caveats or fine print to this exhortation.
Unlike the Israelites who could not easily summon their High Priest for help and could never enter into the Holy of Holies when desperately feeling the need of Jehovah’s aid, every Christian can enter heaven’s throne room as often as he or she feels it necessary. Each can boldly cast every care upon the mighty God who sits upon His throne of grace. This High Priest is never unavailable. The intimate presence of God is never inaccessible.
In response to your actions, Jehovah promises His just-in-the-nick-of-time help as he continues His flawless track record of being His children’s help and deliverer (Psalm 70:5).
