Life’s choices come in all shapes, sizes, and degrees of difficulty. Some are quite consequential (like “Who should I marry?”); some are quite trivial (like “Should I eat hot or cold cereal for breakfast?”); others can be most challenging (like “How do I pay all my bills on this meager of an income?”); still others can be quite easy (like “Should I wear a coat outside in a blizzard?”).
In Romans 6:21-23, the apostle Paul summarizes your most important choice in life. He writes: “What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Things which are shameful and bring death OR things which are holy and result in eternal life. It is your decision.
How hard is it to decide which option you should select?
