“One who sows discord among brethren” (Proverbs 6:16-19).
Though widely prevalent, religious disunity is not a blessing; it is a curse.
According to Jesus, God’s kingdom has two very distinctly different sowers in it—those who sow good seed and those who sow tares (Matthew 13:24-25).
Those who sow discord among brethren are clearly in league with God’s enemy (Matthew 13:25). Their smooth words and flattering speech do not serve Jesus but their own lusts (Romans 16:17-18). They are enemies of the cross of Christ (Philippians 3:17-21). They are abominated by God.
Woe unto all those who sow discord among brethren!
